Portfolio Submission
Carefully review the following requirements:
- Your portfolio must be submitted in a professional manner in a single multi-page PDF document.
- PDF uploads should be sized at 8.5” × 11” and have a resolution of 72 dpi. All pages should be in portrait orientation.
- Your document must follow this naming convention:
Lastname_Firstname.pdf
- If submitted work does not meet the required criteria, it will not be accepted for evaluation.
- Refer to the Character Animation Portfolio page for additional information and specifications.
- Students must have successfully completed (with a grade of “C” or better) or be currently enrolled (during the semester when submitting the portfolio) in the following courses: ARH 2051, ART 2201C, ART 2203C, ART 2300C, ART 2301C, DIG 2000 (requires a “B” or better), DIG 2030, DIG 2109, DIG 2500, GRA 2101C, MAC 1105C. If you have not completed (or are not otherwise enrolled in) all of these courses, then do not submit this portfolio. Speak with your Academic Success Coach regarding portfolio requirements.
- An overall 3.0 GPA in your major courses is required for acceptance.
- For students who have previously taken (or are currently enrolled in) any of the above courses at another institution, if that coursework is not on file with UCF, you must submit an unofficial copy of your transcript from that institution with your Character Animation Portfolio submission.

Letter of Recommendation
A recommendation letter from a current or former employer or university/college faculty member.
The letter may be submitted when you upload your portfolio. If you do not have the letter at that time, you may upload it here no later than February 5, 2026, at 5:00pm. If you do not have your letter by February 5, you can email it to svadcainfo@ucf.edu no later than Monday, February 9, 2026, at 5:00pm.
Recommendation letters will not be accepted after Monday, February 9, 2026, at 5:00pm.
Please have the recommender respond to the following prompts:
- What is your association with the applicant?
- How long have you known the applicant?
- Please rate the applicant's ability to:
- manage time well
- meet criteria of assignments
- go above and beyond
- work well in a team environment
- create original creative content
- take feedback well
- Do you have any additional comments?
